This time the subjects of the artworks are the vaporetti (Venetian ferry boats) and the “imbarcaderi” (landing stages).
The various “stops” are the result of thousands of shots taken by boat and united.
At each stop you can see: the vaporetto, the landing stage, some gondolas, the view of Canal Grande and the buildings facing the Channel.
The photographic paintings, joined in photoshop, have been turned into adequate colors and highlights to resume the same shades as the painters of XVIII century (Canaletto in particular).
Several layers of texture have been added to get closer to the “pasty” brush strokes of Canaletto.
They are neither photos nor paintings but an artistic project.
It is a series to collect.
The prints are on quality canvas with “warm” tones in order to accentuate the pictorial effect, with a reference to Venetian pictorial culture.
The seriers is an “eternal moment” of Venetian millennial history to take home.
